I am currently an Associate Professor of Economics at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) and an affiliated faculty member of the Political Economy Research Institute (PERI). I earned my Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2016 and then served as a visiting assistant professor at Vanderbilt University, before joining MTSU in 2017. I also regularly serve as a visiting fellow at Puey Ungphakorn Institute for Economic Research and Chulalongkorn University.
My research focuses on international trade, tariffs and optimal taxation, WTO rules and trade agreements, and search-theoretic models. I also work on empirical analysis to Asian economies, with particular emphasis on Thailand, including the economic consequences of political shocks and military coups.
